Lesson 20. The Christian Life – The Power Of Love

God has a plan for you and me!

Today’s Key Word is Love which means “Others First”

The Life of Jesus Christ, our Model for Living

GOD IS LOVE AND IS BOTH

Personal Love   &   Unconditional Love

God has always been love before anything was created.

His love is eternal and never ending.

The Persons of God Personally loved each other, before time began.

God The Father Personally Loved God The Son, and The Holy Spirit

God The Son Personally Loved God The Father, and The Holy Spirit

God The Holy Spirit Personally Loved God The Father and God The Son

At the cross they worked together harmoniously, and showed their love for us.
At the cross they each had a role to perform.

“God demonstrates His Love for us in this way: while we were sinners,
Christ died for us (as our substitute and in our place)”

God is perfect and God CANNOT sin, or be tempted to Sin.

God is perfectly righteous. He loves His righteousness wherever it’s found.

They always had perfect love for their own righteousness, and each other’s perfect righteousness.

They know how to love, because they have always loved each other.

They love each other with personal love and never had to unconditionally.

God’s unconditional love is for sinful creatures like us.

Jesus Christ the creator of all things came down to earth as the God-Man.

He demonstrated His love for God His Father, and then for all people.

Jesus Christ loved His Father so much, that He did exactly as His Father commanded Him.
He always did His Fathers Will.

Some Scripture verses show us this example

Now we have been born again into God’s Family, we belong to God.

We are God’s family. Because we are His family we must learn to live like members of His family, just like Jesus has shown us how to live.

We must learn and have the same Love, as He did.

We can only personally love a few people around us.

We should unconditionally love all people, as the bible say’s

This is done when we “Forgive as Jesus Christ forgave us”

In God’s family we must learn to obey God’s commands

and follow His instructions!

Please fill in the blanks

“If you obey my ____________ you will live in my love, just as I have obeyed my Fathers commands and live in His love”

“I have taught you this so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be __________”

The Christian Life – The Power Of Love

Now we are in God’s family, God expects that we learn and obey Jesus’
commands. Just as Jesus obeyed His Fathers commands.

In His family we are always a part of His family forever.

God never kicks us out of His family.

Once a child of God, we are always children of God.

“Nothing can separate us from the love of God

that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”

Sword Drill: Romans 8:35-39

Jesus say’s “I give unto you eternal life, you will NEVER perish.
No one can snatch you out of my hands”

Sword Drill: John 10:28

If we are faithful to Jesus Christ by obeying His commands, then Jesus calls us His friends, because we
know and obey His commands.
He has deposited special rewards for us in heaven’s bank FOREVER.

If we are faithful to Him throughout our life, we shall receive our inheritance when He checks our life and
service at the “judgement (evaluation) Seat of Christ”.

Eternal Rewards

.

To Love God we must obey God’s commands, which are Jesus’ commands too! All His commands are
grouped together into a plan called Love, as shown in the ten “Stress Busters”.

There are many situations in life, which cause us to be stressed, but God has given to us His promises
so we can trust Him always, in our troubles.
The ten “Stress Busters”, which God has provided us, are
provided so that in any situation in life, we can trust, relax and be confident in the Lords provision and care, because

GOD KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING

Note:    It would be of great help for you, to read the lesson at this site about the “Person of God”.  You can then understand how trustworthy and reliable the Word of God is.

He has a plan to make us just like His Son Jesus, so that in the middle of our problems, the thinking within our

soul can be just like Jesus’ thinking.

He had great peace, tranquillity and joy (God’s happiness) in all situations. He endured the cross knowing
His future glorious resurrection.
