God’s objective for us is to be like His Son Jesus Christ
and to serve God and to produce His Work and to be restored in our relationship
and service to Him, just as
God has a specific plan for each of us. He has tailor made
the blessing and suffering to suit us and to cause us to grow spiritually
and so to enable us to rule and reign with Jesus Christ throughout all eternity.
As a prisoner of the Lord, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling
you have received. Be completely
humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every
effort to keep the unity of the Spirit, through the bond of peace.
Be imitators of God, therefore as dearly loved children and live a life
of Love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, as a fragrant
offering and sacrifice to God.
How much will the blood of Christ, who through the Eternal Spirit offered
Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead
to death, so that we may serve the living God?

God’s Purpose and gifts for us now
we belong in the body of Jesus Christ
It was He who gave some to be evangelists, pastors-teachers
to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ
may be built up, until we all reach the unity in the faith and in the knowledge
of the son of God and become mature attaining to the full measure of the
fullness of Christ (Apostles and prophets were temporary gifts now ceased)
Regarding your former way of life put off your old self, which
is being corrupted by its deceitful desires.
Be made new in the attitude of your minds and put on the new

you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger,

Become kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving
each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.

children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself
up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Among you there must be not even a hint of sexual immorality, or any kind
of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
Nor should there be obesity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out
of place, but rather thanksgiving.
Live as children of light in all consisting of the fruit of goodness,
righteousness and truth and find out what pleases the Lord.

most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
