Christian Death and Resurrection!
Where O Death is Your Victory?
Where O Death is Your Sting?
Thanks be to God He
Gives Us The
Victory
In
the life of the believer there are two great victories after eternal salvation.
They are death and resurrection. Both are His victories and will occur to
each of us in God’s own timing and plan.
The
resurrection generation is the one exception to those who will experience
death. They will not die, but will be raptured,
resurrected, snatched away by the Lord, in a moment, in the “twinkling of
an eye, at the last trumpet”
This
generation will not experience death, but will be resurrected with all church
age believers, from long ages past and will join their loved ones who have
believed in the Lord Jesus and have departed through death to be face to face
with their Lord in Heaven.
They
will all meet the Lord and their loved ones in the air and be with Him and
with them forever. Never to die again and will never stand before God at the
Great White Throne Judgement of Revelation 20:11-16
Both
death and resurrection are immanent for us all and could happen at any time.
Our attitude should be one of faith, trust, perseverance and peace. As we
wait for the Lord to unfold the details of our life and His plan, while remembering
His certain promises to us.
“No temptation (testing) has seized you
except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be
tested beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted (tested), He will
provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”
Jesus Death Prophesied and Predicted
“Surely He took up our infirmities and
carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God and afflicted.
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,
and by His wounds, we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each
of us has turned to his own way and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity
of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He
was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is
silent, so He did not open His mouth.,” Isaiah 53:4-7
Jesus Resurrection Prophesied and Predicted
“I have set the Lord always before me.
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is
glad and my tongue rejoices; my body will rest secure, because you will not
abandon me to the grave (Sheol) not will you let your Holy One see decay.”
Psalm 16:8-10

for every activity under the heaven. There’s a time to be born and a time
to die.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name
of the Lord be praised.” Job 1:21
“I trust in you, O Lord; I say, you are
my God. My times are in your hands.” Psalm 31:14-15
“You will come to your grave in a full
vigour (age), like sheaves gathered in season.”
“In Adam all die, in Christ all will be
made alive! But each in His own turn: Christ the
first fruits; then when He comes, those who belong to Him”
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the
death of His saints.”
“Let not your hearts be troubled, you believe
in God, believe also in Me. In My Fathers house are many rooms (dwelling places,
mansions), if it were not so I would have told you. I Am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare
a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me, that you also may be where I Am.”
John 14:1-3
“Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Where O death is your victory, where O death is your sting? The sting of death
is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be
to God! He gives to us the victory though our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Jesus said, “I tell you the Truth, no one

“If a man dies, will He live again? All the days
of my hard service I will wait for my renewal to come. You will call and I
will answer you; you will long for the creature your hands have made. Surely
you will then count my steps, but not keep track of my sin. My offences will
be sealed in a bag. You will cover over my sin.”
Jesus said, “I Am
the resurrection and the life. He (they) who believes in Me
will live, even though he (they) dies and whoever lives and believes in Me,
will never die.”
Jesus said, “I tell you the Truth, whoever
hears my word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal
life and will not be condemned; They have crossed over from death to life.”
“I know that my redeemer lives, and that
in the end He will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God. I myself will see Him with my own eyes –
I and no other, how my heart yearns within me.”
Job 19:25-26
“We are always confident and know that
as long as we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. We live
by faith and not by sight. We are confident; I say and would prefer to be
away from the body and at home with the Lord.”
Jesus said, My
sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give to them
eternal life, no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given
then to Me, is greater than all. No one can snatch
them out of My Fathers hand.” John 10:27-29
“To Him who is able to keep you from falling and present you before
His glorious presence without fault and with great joy. To the Only
God our saviour be Glory, majesty, power and authority
through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen”
“Surely goodness and love (grace) will
follow (Pursue) me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of
the Lord forever.”
“You have made known to me the path of
life; you fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your
right hand forevermore.”
“I am always with you; you hold me with
your right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward take me to
Glory.”
“We do not lose heart, though outwardly
we waste away yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For a momentary
light affliction produces in us an eternal weight of Glory far beyond comparison,
so we don’t focus on what is seen but unseen, for what is seen is temporary
but what is unseen is eternal.”
Since then you have been raised with Christ,
set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand
of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died
and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life
appears, then you also will appear with Him in Glory.
Dear friends (dearly beloved) now we are
children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know
that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”
The Circumstance and the Event of the Immanent
Resurrection
“Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant
about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like men who have no hope. We believe
that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with
Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. According to the Lords own word,
we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the
Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord
Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of
