1.      The outer court portrays atmosphere around the Earth

2.     The Holy Place portrays the Universe

Psalm 19:1

“The heavens declare the Glory of God”

In both the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies everything was gold.

The Glory of God was veiled from the people and the priests, by the coverings and veils. Lest they die, which happened on occasion, when the Lord broke out amongst them with fire and plague.

2 Corinthians 3:14

“Their minds were made dull, for to this very day the veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed.  – Even to this very day when Moses is read a veil covers their heart”

2 Corinthians 3:16

“Whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away”

In analogy the Holy Place portrays the Church.

Hebrews 3:2-3

“He was faithful to the one who appointed Him, just as Moses was faithfull in all of Gods house. Jesus has been found worthy of greater honour than Moses, just as the builder of the house has greater honour than the house itself, for every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. Moses was faithful as a servant in all Gods house, testifying to what would be said in the future. But Christ is faithful as a son over Gods house.”

.

3.       The Holy of Holies portrays Heaven, God’s throne room

Revelation 20:11

“I saw a Great White Throne and His who was seated on it”

All three veils relate to our complete sancification

2 Corinthians 1:10

“In our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we may not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us.”

2 Corinthians 1:10

“He has rescued us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us.”

The ground portrays the earth and all who live on earth.

As Christ lived on earth, His Glory was veiled, but on occasion He revealed His Glory with frightening effect upon fallen Mankind.

Fire came out from the Lord because Israel grumbled about no meat, and craved to go back to thee leeks and garlic of Egypt.

3.       As the Soldiers arrest Jesus:
John 18:6

4.       Against Ananias and Sophira in the Church
Acts 5:1-11

We are just creatures and fail time and time again.

Genesis 2:7

“The Lord God formed man from dust of the ground”

“Dust you are and to dust you will return”

The challenge to the Church is, whose court are you in?

Psalm 84:10

“Better one day in your courts, than a thousand elsewhere”

Psalm 100:4

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving andis courts with praise” His courts with praise”

Ephesians 4:3

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace”

John 8:12

“I Am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life”
