The Table of Show Bread
The Table of Show Bread was made of Acacia Wood and
was overlaid with gold.
The table measurements were
2 cubits long
x 1 cubit wide X 1.5 cubits high
The table had a golden moulding and a golden rim around
the edge, which was 1 handbreadth wide (8cm)
The table had 4 golden rings, fastened to the four
corners of the table, on its four legs.
These rings were inserted with 2 poles of acacia wood,
overlaid with gold for carrying the table.
The table was very ornate.
The table was decked with plates, dishes, pitchers
and bowls of pure gold.
Water indicates spiritual thirst

The Bread of The Presence sat on the table
Each Sabbath, 12 specially prepared loaves sprinkled
with frankincense were placed on the table in two rows of six.
The frankincense demonstrated Christ as the bread of
life, and was of great value to God. When the bread was changed on the Sabbath
the incense was placed on the incense alter producing a very pleasant fragrance.
This bread symbolised God’s provision for the priests.
The loaves were made of fine unleavened wheat flour
baked in twelve cakes, using 0.2 Ephahs (4.5ltr) of flour per loaf. The
loaves weighed were 53Kg in total.
The loaves were replaced every Sabbath with freshly
made loaves. The loaves that were taken away were as fresh as the week before.
The priests ate the bread in the Holy place indicating fellowship with God
firstly, and then with each other.
This was just like the elders of

His followers could do the same, just like the disciples did when they picked
and ate ears of wheat in Matthew 12:1
