Water indicates spiritual thirst
“Jesus said, I am the bread of life, He who comes to me will never go hungry, and He who believes in Me will never thirst.”
Prophesy regarding the Messiah, the Anointed One, “The Bread of Life”
I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.
Prophecy fulfilled: John 1:1 & 14
“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning”
Prophecy fulfilled: 1 John 1:1
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have toughed, this we proclaim concerning the Word of life”
The Key Word is Truth – Jesus is The Truth
Jesus said “I Am The Way, The Truth and The Life”
The Bread of The Presence sat on the table
Each Sabbath, 12 specially prepared loaves sprinkled with frankincense were placed on the table in two rows of six.
The frankincense demonstrated Christ as the bread of life, and was of great value to God. When the bread was changed on the Sabbath the incense was placed on the incense alter producing a very pleasant fragrance.
This bread symbolised God’s provision for the priests.
The loaves were made of fine unleavened wheat flour baked in twelve cakes, using 0.2 Ephahs (4.5ltr) of flour per loaf. The loaves weighed were 53Kg in total.
The loaves were replaced every Sabbath with freshly made loaves. The loaves that were taken away were as fresh as the week before. The priests ate the bread in the Holy place indicating fellowship with God firstly, and then with each other.
This was just like the elders of
1 Samuel 21:6
David legally eats the bread of the presence because He was the anointed one and His followers could do the same, just like the disciples did when they picked and ate ears of wheat in Matthew 12:1
The loaves were prepared by the Levites
1 Chronicles 9:32
The replaced loaves were eaten only by the priests,
“Before Abraham was born, I Am”
“I Am in The Father and The Father is in Me”
“I Am The Light of The World”
“I Am The Good Shepherd”
“I Am The Gate”
“I Am The True Vine”
“I Am not of this world”
“I Am Not Alone”
“I Am leaving the world and going back to The Father”
“I Am The Way, The Truth and The Life”
“I Am The Resurrection and The Life”
“When I Am lifted up from the earth”
“I Am not seeking Glory for Myself”
“I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I Am where you will be also”
The challenge to the Church
“Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God”
“All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the Man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”
“The Word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any double edged sword, piercing even to the divining asunder of the soul and the spirit, joints and marrow and is a critic of thoughts and intents of the heart”
“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly”
“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Holy Spirit, which is the Word of God”
2 Timothy 2:15
“Do your best to present yourselves to God as one approved, a workman that doesn’t need to be ashamed, and who correctly handles the Word of Truth.”
“Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says”
“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save (deliver) both yourself and your hearers.”
